Wedding Venue: Shunkoin Temple

Shunkoin Temple
This Zen Buddhist temple was originally established in 1590 as one of the sub-temples in the Myōshin ji temple complex. The temple houses important historical artifacts that reflect the multifaceted religious and artistic atmosphere in Japan from the sixteenth century onward. It is the first temple in Japan to officially announce that it performs same-sex wedding ceremonies.

Wedding attire fitting and hair styling consultation at the hotel

Day 2 Ceremony Day
10:00 Hair styling and dressing for the Traditional Wedding Kimono
11:30 Departure to Temple (hair dresser will accompany you)
12:15 Arrive to the Shunkoin Temple
13:00 Ceremony (30 min.)
14:00 Leave the temple for the hotel
15:00 Return to hotel
15:30 Change clothes
17:30 Wedding Dinner at Shiokoji Rakusui

Day 3 Free at your leisure

Additional Information

・Family and friends are welcome to attend the wedding ceremony. Accommodations, transfers, and wedding dinner fees are additional. Please consult with the hotel planner.
・Basic traditional wedding attire and modern hair arrangement are included. Should you wish to have additional items such as a traditional wig or other hair decorations, it can be arranged by the hotel.
・Professional photographer can be arranged by the hotel upon request.
