At the Hotel Granvia Kyoto we are thrilled to offer our guests the chance to become a Ninja for a day. In full Ninja costume, guests will have their photos taken at the famed Toei Kyoto Studio Park, the popular Nijo Castle and at several points in the city. Dressed in your Ninja garb, you’ll be taken through a downtown shopping mall where you can shop or just enjoy your ‘stardom’ as you make your way to the other main event of the day, a dinner at the newly opened, trendy Ninja Restaurant.

The hotel will prepare and arrange everything for you including your costume, private transportation with an English-speaking driver, a professional photographer, and your meal at the restaurant. It’s a totally unique experience that we will be happy to arrange completely for you.

Arrive at Nijo Castle, once the Kyoto residence of the Tokugawa Shogun. Enjoy the castle with its beautiful garden and have your photos taken in any number of ‘perfect’ spots.

Arrive at Toei Kyoto Studio Park Enjoy having photos taken, seeing the famous Ninja Show or Samurai Show, attractions, shopping etc. The 3D show and Ninja throwing Star target practice attractions are included in this package. Since this is a real movie studio used for shooting Jidaigeki samurai movies, you may witness some movies being shot.

Depart Toei Kyoto Studio Park If you prefer to change your costume before going to restaurant, they can prepare the Change Room additional charge of JPY500 per person.

Arrive at the Restaurant Ninja Kyoto This trendy Ninja theme restaurant also has a thrilling labyrinth and Ninja shop, which you can enjoy before dining. Your driver leaves once he drops you off.

*Approximate return time to hotel: 20:15. Return transportation will be at your own cost. *As Toei Kyoto Studio Park is a working movie studio, event times and locations are subject to change or cancellation.

This exclusive tour starts from JPY47,000 per person (based on two persons touring together) and includes the following:

• A Ninja costume for each participant (which is yours to keep!) including hood, mask, Jika-tabi footwear, and a plastic sword.
• A private car with an English-speaking driver from 13:00 – 17:15
• A professional photographer from 12:30 – 17:00; photo shots provided on a CD-Rom the following day
• Admission to Toei Kyoto Studio Park and Nijo Castle. On Mondays when Nijo Castle is closed, we will take photos in the scenic Arashiyama area. At Toei Kyoto Studio Park, you can also enjoy attractions such as the 3D show and Ninja throwing Star target practice. Your English-speaking driver will assist you.

The studio also offers original rental costumes for customers. Become a Shogun, Princess, Geisha or one of many other Japanese characters. You will have the benefit of being made up by a professional make-up artist. With elaborate costumes, makeup and wigs, you too can look like a real Japanese movie star. Thanks to the skill of a professional image editor, your photos will look very authentic! Additional costume rentals start at JPY8,640; and each photo shot (H216mm x W165mm) costs JPY3,200~
